| Dr. Eliyahu M. Goldratt, author of The Goal and many other excellent publications, is the originator of and major contributor to the vast and ever-developing body of knowledge known as Theory of Constraints.
I owe my understanding of the Theory of Constraints to Eli's teaching and patience over what was probably more than 1000 hours of instruction, development and collaboration in one form or another. Above all, I owe a debt to Dr. Goldratt for re-igniting my desire to learn.
Also, for the six years I was an Associate of the Avraham Y. Goldratt Institute (AGI), Robert E. Fox was a source of unfailing support, encouragement, advice, and practical assistance. For that, too, I am deeply grateful.
